Sunset Cliffs is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the west, Ocean Beach on the north, Catalina Blvd. and Santa Barbara St. on the east, and Sunset Cliffs Natural Park on the south. Named for the sheer cliffs that border the ocean, this neighborhood is a favorite spot for people looking to enjoy San Diego’s urban amenities on their own terms while living on or near the water.
Sunset Cliffs is primarily residential, with a main street focal point known as Sunset Cliffs Boulevard. Curved streets wend their way through the community comprised mainly of custom homes.
Situated south of Ocean Beach, Sunset Cliffs is home to several beaches and was named for its phenomenal sunset vistas. The neighborhood is also home to Sunset Cliffs Natural Park, a beautiful, 68-acre strip that borders the western edge of the Point Loma peninsula.
